Shipping and receiving
From payment to delivery, and what to check when it arrives.
Buying
Once we receive payment on your invoice we send shipping details for your freight or parcel. You receive updates by email and text, and can use the tracking information to follow the shipment with the carrier.
Selling
After the purchase order is completed and the estimated value is agreed, we issue a shipping label and packaging documentation. You can drop the equipment at the carrier facility or request a pickup.
Returning
For a return we send packaging documentation and a return label. Once we physically receive the equipment, we issue a credit memo or refund to your designated bank account.
Receiving and inspecting a delivery
- The person receiving the delivery should sign the carrier's receiving documents, inspect the items before signing, and initial the bill of lading (BOL).
- Count what you receive. If you expect 30 boxes on a pallet and receive 29, note it on the BOL.
- Check the packaging and the items inside. If anything looks damaged, note it on the BOL before signing, even if damage is only suspected.
- Sign and print your name legibly on the BOL so the carrier knows who received the freight.
Refusing a delivery
If a shipment is visibly and severely damaged you may refuse it. Photograph the damage, have the driver note "Damaged and Refused" on the BOL, and email the photos to us. Freight carriers limit the time to file a claim, so contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and details of the packaging and product condition.
If you are unsure whether there is concealed damage and the driver is rushing you, write "Subject to Inspection. Driver Refuses to Wait." on the BOL before signing.
Acceptance
A shipment is considered accepted when you sign the BOL and report no quality or delivery issue at the time of delivery.
Local pickup
Local pickup is by appointment, once goods are confirmed ready to dispatch. Email eureka@kaboomracks.com to arrange it.
